What are you most excited about for the Stanton Invitational?
The opportunity for all of us to spend the day together as a family with a round of golf and a follow up with a good meal!
How long have you been playing golf?
I started casually playing in the 1980s while caddying and working grounds crew at New Haven Country Club during high school and college. After college in 1989 I started to play a little more.
Who would you choose to play with in your dream golf foursome?
Arnold Palmer, Mickey Mantle, and the Pope
What is your favorite club in your golf bag?
Putter…because it means I’ve reached the green!
What is your favorite golf course you have played at?
Sebonack Golf Club
What is your dream golf course to play?
St Andrews or maybe Augusta National
What pro golfer most resembles your game?
One of the honorary starters at the Masters (not in their prime but at their age and swing speed now!)
What is the closest you've come to a hole in one?
6th hole at Fenwick Golf Course playing with Jack and Kevin, was within 3” of the cup. For the historians, #6 at Fenwick is the oldest green in the state of CT in its original location (laid out in 1894).
What is your favorite Connecticut pizza spot?
Many to choose from, I’ll go with Modern but many excellent choices.
What would be your walkup song if you played in the MLB?
Tu Vuo' Fa' L'americano.
What is the best meal that you can cook for yourself?
“Cook for yourself” throws a curveball to this…kind of limits it. But I’ll say a delicious seafood risotto
